This student workbook is a companion to the the Level C Student Workbook. It teaches the three primary spelling changes that occur when adding suffixes to root words:
- doubling a final consonant (shop-shopper)
- dropping a final e (hope-hoping)
- changing a y to i (cry-cried)
It also helps students learn the pattern of when to use ck, dge, and tch, and when to double the consonants in a word that ends consonant-l-e. (little v. ladle).
There is no separate teacher manual. Everything that a teacher needs in order to conduct the lessons is in the student workbook.
